Process of Pastoral Search & Survey
As we are in the initial stages of our search for a new Senior Pastor, at Community Alliance Church, the Elders and the Administrative Board want to announce that we have met with the District Superintendent and have started the process of seeking God for the right person and God’s timing.
This process typically takes 6-18 months.
We want to invite the congregation to be part of one of the first steps in the process, participating in a survey. The information from the survey will help in developing the Pastoral Profile. Which will be forwarded to the District Superintendent, Dan Scarrow. The Elders will then begin to receive resumes, through his office.
After receiving and prayerfully considering the resumes, the Elders will conduct interviews and contact the District Superintendent, regarding a candidate for consideration. (All invitations to candidate must come from the District Superintendent) That candidate will be invited, by Dan, to interact with the congregation throughout the week, and Sunday morning. With continued prayer and input from the congregation, the Elders will determine whether or not to call the candidate, up for consideration, as our next Senior Pastor.
Community Alliance Church, as an Elder led church, will continue to be led by the Elders during the transition. We are meeting often during this period of transition, for prayer and oversight of the ministry of the church. The staff will continue to lead through the day-to-day decisions and operations, under the direction of Pastor Matt. In this season of transition, the pulpit will be filled by a variety of Pastors and leaders, qualified to prayerfully challenge the congregation from the Word of God. Ultimately, Community Alliance Church is under the authority of Jesus Christ and we humbly submit to His leadership. In doing this, we will continue to see lives changed and His name lifted up during this season of growth.
We invite you to join with us in prayer at the church every other Monday at 6:00 pm,
starting on October 8, to seek the Lord and his will as we move forward together.
Please complete the survey by October 21st by clicking the link below.
