We are so glad you are interested in Community Alliance Church!
We want you to feel at home here. Before you visit, you may want to know the following answers to frequently asked questions.
Sunday services are at 8:15am and 10:45am. We have a mixed style of music. We will be alternating worship teams each week for the time being. So both services will be either traditional or contemporary.
ASL interpretation available at the 10:45am service.
Sunday School is available for all ages at 9:30am (Sept - May) with child care for ages 0-3 during 10:45 service.
We ask that kids are 3yrs old by Sept. 1st and potty trained to go to the Preschool Sunday School class; otherwise, they are welcome in the Nursery.
We are located at 408 Elm St W. in Detroit Lakes, MN. Click here for directions.
Yes! The entire building is on one level.
Park where ever is most convenient for you. There are two entrances. On Sunday mornings please use the east entrance under the awning. During the week if you have any office inquiries use the south entrance. Handicapped parking spaces are located near either entrance.
Every week the nursery is available for children newborn to three years old during the 10:45 Sunday morning service. We have a "pager system", so after you check your child in, you will receive a pager to take with you into church or Sunday School. This, first and foremost, adds to your child's safety. It also really adds to the communication between nursery workers and parents. If your child should need you during the service, we can simply press a button and your pager will silently notify you. For more details about Sunday School classes for various ages, what time and room they are located in, see "What's a typical Sunday morning like?"
Worship services and adult Sunday School classes are offered at 8:15am and 10:45am. You are welcome to join any of them! You will find different styles of worship in each service and a variety of Sunday School classes choices each Sunday. Worship services will be in the Sanctuary and Sunday school classes will take place in the various classrooms.
On any given Sunday at Community Alliance Church, you will find attenders in a wide variety of clothing. You will most definitely find T-shirts and jeans as well as dressier clothes. In fact, you may see the same person in dress clothes one week and in shorts the next. We want you to know that you are free to come in whatever you are most comfortable in.
During each service there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. This is an act of worship and obedience to God for our members and friends (who consider CAC their church home). As a guest, please do not feel any pressure or obligation to give.
