Bookkeeper / Receptionist
She is married with 2 boys and wears many "hats" in our office. She functions as the communications hub for our church. She is the warm smile that greets everyone that walks in the door and the one that keeps the gears turning. Mandi is often pulled in several directions at the same time. Although she is often knee deep in numbers, she also has the God given gift to make people feel valuable. Mandi is an invaluable asset to Community Alliance Church.
Olivia Johnson has grown up in Detroit Lakes. She heads up the online service production. When she’s not juggling film or worship projects, you can usually find her skiing, kayaking, or tracking down a snack. You can also find her enjoying coffee with her fiancé David, or laughing over a game night with her small group.
"This church has been such a tremendous blessing in my life. My parents got involved at CAC when I was a few months old. Through the highs and lows, this church community has been a huge source of encouragement, and prayer; basically family. Getting involved in a new church can be daunting, but if you’re on the fence, give it a shot! You won’t regret it, and it just might change your life!"
Paul Edwards has lived in Detroit lakes over the past 28 years. He is married to his wife Christine and has two children. He loves to design and work on new projects whether it’s working with metal or wood. He enjoys keeping the church clean, but God has really gifted him with the ability to make people feel welcomed as they walk into the church for an event or a bible study. Paul has a heart for Jesus and in the opportunities he has, he wants to be a helping hand to those around him, sharing Christ’s love through word and action.
Blake grew up attending Community Alliance Church until his Senior year of high school, when God called him to Experience Church in Detroit Lakes. It was here where God truly showed Blake how lead and love the church in the same ways Christ did. After Experience closed it's doors, Blake spent a year as the worship leader of a local startup before returning to Community Alliance Church as tech coordinator. While often quiet on the surface, Blake is a kid at heart, and always full of energy and excitement for Jesus.
Pete and Lori are married and have four children. They have been called to ministry a bit later in life than most. Both Pete and Lori have been a part of and/or worked with members of the Deaf Community over 100 years, combined. They realized the barriers that existed with Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing people to have access to God’s Word as well as being able to have the experience of belonging to a church family and feeling like they belonged. God continues to open doors for them to change that in our rural area and beyond. God is moving in the Deaf Community and as they begin to connect with other groups, churches, and individuals who share their passion of bringing God's word and love to the members of the Deaf Community. They hope to continue to grow God’s Kingdom and bring others to know of His love in their own language and for them to know and that they belong to a loving church family.
